This high-end 14" laptop (choose from refurbished HP Elitebook or Dell Latitude) has been thoroughly refurbished and a fresh Zorin OS installed. (Windows 10/11 on request).

It comes with a powerful Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, a fast 240GB solid state drive, WLAN/Wi-fi, Bluetooth, and Gigabyte Ethernet connectivity. USB 3.0 ports, SD-card reader, external display connection, 720p HD camera, integrated stereo speakers, and microphone array, plus 3.5mm external audio connector. You can choose between Zorin 17 Core as your operating system, or upgrade to the enhanced privacy package.

The machine is powerful enough for complex business and multimedia applications. It will breeze through anything an advanced business or private user may demand. While not new, the backlit keyboards and bright 14" LCD screens are in A-grade condition. HP Elite series laptops are designed to comply with US military (MIL-STD-810G) specifications. Both HP and Dell machines of this grade feature magnesium alloy frame, quality components, and world-class engineering. It's a pleasure to own and use these high-end machine.

Your machine will run on the secure Zorin PRO operating system. Zorin is based on Linux, but looks and feels very similar to what you are used to today. No AI, no Microsoft, no Google, and no Apple Inc tracking your every move. While similar to Zorin Core, the PRO version offers additional features and access to the Zorin support team. The desktop will be set to resemble Windows 10 or MacOS. It's your choice.

We add encrypted email and calendar with unique security features, encrypted file storage and log-less VPN. Your data and account details are hosted in a secure data centre in Switzerland, protected by Swiss privacy legislation. Further, the package comes with a privacy-enhanced internet browser, using a non-tracking search engine. Also installed is the Libre Office productivity suite to read and write MS Office files. You will also find AV and media applications to view and manipulate photos, video, and audio files, as well as a suite of other useful programs for business and private use. Just connect to your wired or Wi-Fi network, and you're set to go.

The price for the ZOPRO package includes a perpetual Zorin Pro OS license, complete set-up of your secure email and VPN account, as well as the first 12 month subscription paid to Proton Technologies AG for your Proton Unlimited account. Available on request, but not included in the base price: Launch support via AnyDesk remote access, transfer of your personal files, emails and contacts, continued remote assistance.

Refurbished is not refurbished

Some sellers offer 'refurbished' PCs which just had a new Operating System installed and the case wiped down. Here is what we do:

• Thoroughly clean and disinfect all surfaces.
• Clean vents, fans, connectors, CPU and GPU heat sink.
• Replace SSD or NVMe drive if older than 36 months
• Replace CMOS battery if older than 36 months
• Replace main battery if <80%
• Check all drives, fans and power supply, replace as required.
• Pass system stress test
• 12 month limited hardware warranty
